The Education Committee is excited to introduce this year’s Education Program “No Future Without A Past”.
As we celebrate 90 amazing years of Les Clefs d’Or, we should reflect on the wealth of success gained over the decades. We must respect the traditions and experiences as we embrace, with clarity and determination, the fantastic opportunities within our reach.
The Education and Training day promises to bring a fresh and exciting approach to learning about our industry, our roles and ourselves. With interactive brainstorming sessions, fast and furious delegate connections, entertaining talking heads and powerful keynote and inspirational speakers, we are sure you’ll feel energized, motivated and eager to take your learning’s back to your teams.
Can we inspire? Can we learn from each other? Can we succeed? Yes, We Cannes!
We begin the day with powerful Key-Note speaker Jean-Luc Naret who shares his passion and vision for the hospitality industry.
To keep the day inspiring and entertaining we have created Yes We Cannes! No Future Without A Past, a Les Clefs d’Or Talk Show to intensify our spirit in a powerful way. Our host, Gerald Parent will carry on an informative dialogue amongst the talk show guests: industry expert Giuseppe Vincelli, Les Clefs d’Or Ambassador Chhaya Momaya and members from both generations “Fine Young Things and Wonderfully-Wise”
Brian Mackenzie, Hotel NH Collection Amsterdam Barbizon Palace, Holland
Sarah Dandashy, The London West Hollywood, USA
Anne-Marie Gauthier, Ritz-Carlton Montréal, Canada
Daniel Kamaku, St. Regis Doha, Qatar
Our goal is to develop an active and inspired audience refined with a better understanding of the roots of modern day Les Clefs d’Or Concierges and traditional service approach that will serves as a foundation for innovation in a fast evolving world of hospitality. Orchestrating this behind the scenes is the amazing Claudia Hendriks.
Unlike traditional conference formats, we are excited to bring you a Les Clefs d’Or BarCamp, an open conference format relying on the passion and the responsibility of the participants to contribute to the event. Everyone is encouraged to share information and experiences during each session. Our theme “No Future Without A Past” reflect the values, traditions and networking friendship of our association. Based on those, we determined what we need to do and accomplish as an association, but also as individual hotel concierges to stay relevant in the future.
We have selected fourteen education specialists within Les Clefs d’Or to bring you The 7 KEYS we will be discussing – #Our7KeysToTheFuture:

In September 2007, Les Clefs d’Or France created its own school of concierge with the Hotel School of Toulouse in link with the French Public School (FPE). The aim was to bring the content of training courses in line with the professionalization and specialization required by the hospitality and labor market. Today, le savoir-faire and skills of a concierge Hotel FPE training are known internationally and the quality recognized by hotels in France and in the world. It is the only hotel concierge training recognized by Les Clefs d’Or in France.
We are pleased to welcome Ms. Marie Brier to share the history of this incredible journey with us.
We trust you will find this Education and Training Day productive and enriching as we learn from our past while securing our future.
